Students of Grade 7, Asiya Khatoon, Sarayyu Khandekar, and Aiyesha Khatoon presented an exhibit on shapes, space and measurement at What Works Maths Plus, on Nov 10th 2014.

The theme of the exhibit was ‘Dubai – The Shape City’. Children prepared a model on various land marks of Dubai like The Palm Jumeirah, Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and spoke about various geometrical shapes observed in Palm Jumeirah and formulae for calculating the area of sector and length of an arc. Also explained about Area of cross section, use of ratios in real life and the method of calculating the height of an object by measuring the length of its shadow. They were also given an opportunity to observe the exhibits of other schools and share their learning experience.
