Communication with the School

You are always welcome to speak to either the Head Teacher or the teaching staff about any issue or anxiety regarding your child or School in general. We  recommend you to call for  prior appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate you. We believe that all your concerns and issues can most productively be addressed through conversations, and we encourage you to come in and talk to us as you deem necessary.

Thrice a year you will be invited to discuss your child and his/her progress in School with the respective class teacher. If, at this time, either you, or the class teacher, or both, feel that further discussion is necessary then another mutually convenient time will be arranged. Towards the end of the Summer Term, all parents receive an observation report, and time for follow-up discussion is made available if you request it.
Parents as Partners
Parents are their child’s first and most enduring educators. When parents and practitioners work together in Foundation Stage / Kindergarten settings, the results have a positive impact on children’s development and learning. All families are important and are welcomed and valued in all settings. Parents and practitioners have a lot to learn from each other. This can help them to support and extend children’s learning development. Parents should review their children’s progress regularly and contribute to their child’s learning and development. Parents can be helped to understand more about learning and teaching through workshops on important areas such as play, outdoor learning or early reading. Some parents may go on to access further education at their own level.
